marital status as Single. Enlisted in the 1st Regiment Louisiana
Infantry Native Guards, Free Colored. Enrolled September 3, 1862.
Mustered in September 27, 1862. Rolls later list this as the 1st
Reg't Inf., Corps d'Afrique and then as the 73rd USCI. May-June 1865
roll says “Back pay due from enlistment to February 28, 1863 $6.50
per month. From March 1, 1863 to April 30, 1864 $6.00 per month. From
May 1, 1864 to June 30, 1864. $9.00 per month.” $100 bounty due to
him at muster-out.
